The contractor is planning to perform the generator start up on Monday, January 14 and the generator load test on Tuesday, January 15. There are two new back-up generators. When each of the generators are started on Monday there will be a brief interruption in power (less than 10 seconds) to the emergency outlets. There is not a precise time that the start-ups will occur but the first will probably be around 9am and the second around 2pm. Please unplug all items that are plugged in to an emergency outlet that cannot be subjected to an interruption in power. The load bank test will be performed on Tuesday. There should not be an interruption of power during the load test but the contractor would prefer that items remain unplugged from emergency outlets on both days. Please be aware that after the emergency generators are fully operational there will always be a few second power outage when the generators are engaged and provisions should be made if that brief outage cannot be tolerated.
