Cardiac Arrhytmias in SUDEP

Bladder Cancer Esterases

Despite its prevalence, advances in the treatment of bladder cancer (BCa) have been minimal.  Esterases and oxidative stress (OS) are elevated in bladder cancer (BCa): these seemingly disparate events may be linked and provide the basis for a novel targeted chemotherapy. Surprisingly, BCa esterases have not been identified. Our goal is to identify and characterize BCa esterases. Tutors provide one-on-one and small group reading instruction to children in the region who read below a third grade level (primarily K-3). Selection of tutors is based upon work-study eligibility, completion of an application, reference checks, willingness to comply with program rules and regulations and commit to tutor responsibilities, and the desire to work with young children. Tutoring occurs at schools and community sites in the Tri-Cities Region, so you must have your own transportation to and from the sites. Do you enjoy helping others? University Career Services is seeking a FWS student in their freshman through junior level to work part-time as an ETSU Career Ambassador by assisting professional staff with specific projects and outreach activities on campus. The position will focus on front desk coverage, answering phones, and assisting students and alumni in making appointments using Handshake. Also included are general clerical and office duties, such as typing, filing, retrieving and distributing mail, copying, posting career-related information around campus, participating in career fairs and career related course presentations, and running errands on campus. Purpose of the role- allowing the student to learn professionalism while helping students and alumni in finding or continuing their career paths. Applicants need to possess good phone etiquette and communication skills, be willing to learn career-related information and share with others, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be responsible and dependable in meeting working requirements. The ability to multi-task is also helpful. Pay rate is $7.25/hr with performance evaluations conducted at the end of the contract period or if the student chooses to resign or needs discharged.
